Do You Need SEO if You are a Small Business?
If you’re a small business, where are you getting the majority of your customers? If you ever find yourself wondering, “Hm, is social media important to the growth of my business?” then this video will prove interesting and informative! There was Internet in 1996?
Granted, I’m young-but-not-that-young. Still, I found this infographic highly entertaining as I don’t remember using anything more complicated than the library search engine to finish my college degree in 1996. With 2012 approaching, I thought it would be fun to share this infographic that compares the internet of 1996 with 2011. The times are a-constantly a-changin’ and this is a great reminder of how technology has increasingly moved businesses forward. Enjoy! Created by: Online University
Comparing Facebook and Google+
I love the Infographics! I ran across this one below that compares the similar services offered through Google+ and Facebook, which can be cross-referenced when considering who uses Google+ and what the average day on Facebook looks like!
Who Uses Google+?
With all the talk about the Average Day for Facebook, I couldn’t help but post this infographic from Flowtown regarding who’s using Google+ as a comparison. What I find most uselful for both is the perceived number of “users” versus people who actually participate in each social media service. Food for thought!
Understanding Facebook Page Insights
Right around Thanksgiving, Facebook Pages rolled out changes regarding their data-tracking system called “Insights.” If you have a Facebook business page, you can find the Insights link in the left sidebar underneath the business profile picture – the example below is the Verticalwerks business page. Purpose of Reading Facebook Insights No matter what social media outlet you decide to use, it’s important to be able to track your audience. For Facebook, these elements include: 1. Even Dentists Need Social Media
One of my really good friends refuses to use Facebook. Unfortunately for me, I don’t get to see or talk with her that often, so keeping a connection through Facebook would be great. But when I say she “refuses” to use Facebook, I might be under-communicating her utmost dislike and ultimate stubbornness against it. With a roll of her eyes and the toss of her hair, she expounds on how she will never use it (NEVER!). So, in a fit of curiosity, I asked her why. I pointed out that she’s kept up with other technologies; for example, she texts Read the Rest…
An Attitude of Gratitude in Business
I’m currently caught in a cycle with this online registration forum that is quite frustrating. Once I attempt to register one of our clients with this pretty valuable forum, I receive an error message that says there’s a mysterious problem and to contact a representative through email or by phone. Caught up in the excitement of actually being able to cross tasks off my lengthy list, I emailed the necessary person and waited what I imagined was a reasonable amount of time. Within 24 hours, I received two emails in response to my inquiry. The first asked for more information Read the Rest…
